This month's Mission Focus is Overflow Ministry. Overflow Ministry is the Multi-Cultural Worship community of the Korean UMC of Flossmoor: South Suburban Chicago. Their mission is to “Disciple People into Christ’s Abundant Life that Overflows.” This community is devoted to God’s redemptive work, on the move to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the World. They “walk with” and instill hope one person, one family at a time in their time of need. Through the establishment of Jacob’s Basement and Rebekah’s Closet, they deliver and share donated clothing, furniture and household goods, conveying hope and love of Christ while walking with persons and families as they find stability and security through networking information, prayer and friendship.
Their focuses include:
• Passionate Worship
• Intentional Faith Development
• Risk Taking Mission and Service
• Extravagant Generosity
